What is mead? It is the pleasures of sunshine and meadows in a glass… the nectar of the gods! Taste, savor, and buy from Colorado’s finest meaderies, some of whom are international award winners! This unique event attracts a couple hundred friendly mead-lovers; and is a great initiation for mead-lovers in training.
And remember, the MeadFest is also a MeadMart! You can purchase your favorite meads directly from our prize-winning meaderies.
This year, we’ve moved to a beautiful new location: the spacious grounds of Jefferson Unitarian Church, with both indoor and outdoor spaces for all our activities, plus ample on-site parking.
Included in the MeadFest ticket price, you will enjoy:
- Tasting an amazingly wide variety of mead from Colorado’s best meaderies.
- The Orpheus PCC breaking out in song to accompany your sipping enjoyment.
Members of the Orpheus Homebrew Club can enter their private club area to sample the home-brew entries from the Orpheus MeadFest Competition. Come judge for yourself! The finale of the event is the 2024 MeadFest awards ceremony where the winners of the 2023 Orpheus MeadFest will be announced!

$30 per person or $50 for two (online purchase only).
Orpheus Home-brew Club Membership: Additional $5.

The Competition Calendar:
- The competition early registration period opens on May 1, 2024.
- The registration deadline is June 1, 2024.
- Entries will be accepted from June 3, 2024–June 21, 2024.
- Deadline: All entries must be registered, paid for, and received at one of our drop-off/ship-to locations by the end of business on June 21.
- All winners will be announced at the Orpheus MeadFest Tasting and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Download the 2024 Orpheus MeadFest Rules and Regulations. This is a PDF and will open in another window.
- Create your ReggieBeer account, if needed, and go to your competition division on Monday, May 1.
- Plan your entries now! Use the early registration period to register and finalize your entries. ReggieBeer allows you to edit and change your entries until the entry deadline of Saturday, June 1.
